You've all seen the movie Groundhog Day somewhere along the way and last weekend it was Groundhog day in more ways than one. Ever been somewhere and you feel like your doing the same thing over and over? Well that's what happened to us. We spent the weekend in Chicago and we just couldn't leave. Powder drove down and Red and CG flew in, Sunday the snow just came down. We were scheduled to fly out Monday afternoon and woke to a horrible fog. We checked our flights and Red's had been cancelled, so she called her airline and told her they could get her on a flight later in the day out of O'Hare, we were both originally leaving out of Midway. So Powder left in her car and we killed a few hours getting lunch and headed toward O'Hare. On the ride over, CG called and found out her flight had been cancelled to, so called another airline and they said they could get her out of O'Hare also, so that flight was booked. before we ever made it to O'Hare, Red's O'Hare flight got cancelled and she was stuck with the choice of flying out the next morning back from Midway. Knowing that Red's was now cancelled from O'Hare, CG called and cancelled hers before they cancelled it anyway. So we were both scheduled to leave back out of Midway the next morning, early. We back tracked to our original hotel which we would have never had to leave in the first place, checked back in and set the alarm for 4:30AM. got up , checked the flight status and once again, the first flight out for CG at 6:15 was cancelled and they told us there was an 8:35 available and booked it. We missed our exit and had to back track, started running late and still had to drop off the rental car which was at an off airport location. Running out of time we didn't have time to dispute the rental car charges that were now $140.00 more than the original booking price. We got to the airport and there was a city block long of people waiting to check curbside, went inside and it was worse, over 1.5 hour wait. Red got through on her airline checkin pretty quick, but Southwest was a mess. We played Airport phone tag and she said it was about 40 minutes through security. Found out that only three planes left or came out of Midway the day before because of the fog. Knowing at this time that there was no way CG would make the 8:35 flight since it was now 7:45, we called Southwest while waiting in line and got booked on a 9:55. It sure felt good to be able to relax in that line and take a deep breath. The plane was booked solid, not an empty seat. It was sure good to get home and all this was to save gas money by flying because it was cheaper than driving, NOT! Have a great week and get out and vote if you can, but please make your decision's wisely. Do you want a repeat of the last eight year's with the republican's and even worse, Someone named Obama that is already showing add's with him and MLK together? Did you all forget about 911 already? OBSAMA,OMBAMA,think about it, do you really want to give control of our country to Him? We want our lives back to the way they were in the Clinton administration, look at the mess this country is in, as Hillary said"It took a Clinton to clean up the mess the first Bush left us and it will take a Clinton to clean up the mess the second Bush left us". If you ordered Support Gear last week and it was out of stock, we hope to have it shipped by next week, thanks for your patience. HELLKATS MIDWEST
